Here’s an update from our team in Namsaling. These images show the ongoing hand washing/sanitation programs (WASH), and the nursery activities under the OFON ( One Farmer, One Nursery )program. We received another update from Bhupal today. NCDC is busy in Namasling with Covid-19 training in the local schools, as well as a variety of related health care education activities. Included are photos of the ongoing nursery projects which are doing very well.
Bhupal has recently sent these images from current spring protection projects in Ward 8 / Namsaling. NCDC is collaborating with volunteers from EWB ( Engineers without Borders).
NCDF Executive Director and NCDC Health coordinator Bhupal Katiwada recently travelled to Pokhara and Kathmandu to deliver training for more than 150 staff members of the Kathmandu Group of Hotels regarding Covid-19 and hand washing, as well as practises for hotel room and restaurant disinfection.
Note – the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed progress of the various projects that we are monitoring in Nepal – although work is continuing. We will be posting updates to this page as new information becomes available.
